Josh Lynas is an independent young writer, director and occasional actor born in Northern Ireland, Belfast. Writing and directing a number of funded short films, most recently NI Screen funded short film 'Frankie' (2021). As an actor, he is represented by Premier Artists NI. Growing up he has honed his skills through the likes of the BFI film academy. Attending their craft skills residential as Director at NFTS, creating a short film 'A Hard Place' (2019). Josh has been involved with NI Screen, BFI, Cinemagic and the Nerve Centre throughout his career.
Writing all of his own scripts and creating gripping innovative films. 'Lost in Transit' (2020) is a NI Screen funded short that won Best Narrative at Fresh Film Festival. An avid writer, Josh is constantly writing film and television pitches, currently his focus is on creating his debut feature and television show. Specialising in crafting emotive narratives, his script writing work has received a special mention at Filmmarket Hubs Pitchbox 2022 and BBC Writersroom short list. Josh is one of Belfast's upcoming Independent creatives.
